Basic instructions for setting up a landing page.


1.) In the Article Manager-->Edit Article, clone and revise an existing article by opening and then Save as Copy




OR add a New article




2.) Assign this new article to an appropriate category

3.) Click Save and Close for this new article.


4.) There is now an article available in the Article Manager.


5.) Go to Menus-->Hidden Menu

(If there is no Hidden Menu available, go to Menus-->Menu Manager and create a new menu.)





4.) Create a menu item that points to this new article


5.) Enter a Menu Title


6.) Click the blue Select button



7.) A pop-up window will appear. Select Articles-->Single Article. The pop-up will close.




8.) Click the grey Select button to pick an article to assign to this menu item.



9.) Another pop-up will appear. Select the appropriate page.



10.) Click Save to save the menu item.



11.) Make sure the alias for this menu item is user-friendly. You can only use letters, numbers, and dashes for this field.

In this example, the alias is "landing-page-1". Make a note of this.



12.) Point a web browser window to your web site and add the alias from the last step to the end of the web address.

Example:  http://www.mywebsite.com/landing-page-1


Your new landing page will load.


13.) Click Save & Close to leave the menu manager.


14.) Done.
